Tell me who builds these awesome paddles...

Thanks for your interest in RuTu Paddle Co. My name is Nathan, and I first learned to paddle a canoe at summer camp in 3rd grade. I remember being saddened when I discovered all the "fun" activities were full (bb guns, rocketry, archery...) and I was forced to participate in paddling. Little did I know that those instructions on a rickety dock on Nelson Lake would haunt my memories every time I perform a J-Stroke. While it wasn't a profound beginning, it's great to revisit that story since I've paddled the Minnesota Boundry Waters Canoe Area with friends and family for 20 years now. I started building paddles as gifts for friends who have met for an annual BWCA trip for the past 12 years. I enjoyed crafting the paddles so much, I just kept right on building and decided to sell a couple.
